How does Constellations work on Feeld?

Whether you're just dipping a toe into the world of ethical non-monogamy, or have been on the scene for a while, linking your profile can help you to be more transparent about who you are and how you connect. It's a simple way to represent your existing relationships while creating space for new ones, making it easier to meet people who are looking for something similar.

What is Constellations on Feeld?

Constellations (previously called Paired Accounts) allows you to link your Feeld profile with partners, while each maintaining separate individual accounts.

Our original Paired Accounts feature hasn’t disappeared; it has evolved into Constellations. You can now link your profile with up to five partners. Everyone keeps their own profile, but your connection becomes visible to the community, making it easier to date openly and connect with transparency.

It's a simple way to be more open about who you're exploring with, and can help potential connections understand your relationship dynamics before you even start chatting. How to link your profile with a partner

Before you start linking profiles, take some time to talk about what you're both hoping for. Being aligned in your expectations, boundaries, and desires can make exploring together feel more fulfilling for everyone involved. 

Once you've decided who you'd like to add to your Constellation, all you need to do is send them an invitation link. You can find this in your profile settings under “Add partners to your profile.” Before you invite them, you'll be asked to choose a relationship description. You can always change the description later, to reflect changing dynamics.

Your partner can accept the invitation if they're already on Feeld. If they don’t have an account, they’ll be prompted to sign up. Just bear in mind that the invitation link is only valid for 72 hours.

Once they accept, you'll appear on each other's profiles. That's it. You both keep your own profile, photos, conversations, and preferences. The only thing that changes is that other members can see you're connected. 

Constellation relationship descriptions

There are more than 20 relationship descriptions available to reflect how you relate to each partner. They are:

• Dom
• Domme
• Engaged
• Friend
• Friend with benefits 
• Lover
• Married
• Metamour
• Nesting partner
• Partner
• Play partner
• Primary partner
• Queerplatonic partner
• Secondary partner
• Sub
• Switch

You can also select “No description,” if you’d prefer to keep your connection undefined (while still showing that you’re connected). 

Each Constellation partner can have their own relationship description, so you can reflect what each dynamic means to you. Your partner chooses how you're described on their profile separately, since people don't always experience relationships in exactly the same way. For example, you might list your partner as your Lover, while they might opt for Dating instead.

Linked partners appear on your profile in the order you add them, and adding someone new is as simple as repeating the same invitation process. If two or more of your partners would also like to link with each other, they'll need to do that separately.

What stays private when you link profiles?

When you link your profile, your private activity stays private. Your connections, chat history, profile details, and photos aren't shared with your linked partners. Linking your profiles doesn't merge your Feeld experience. Neither does it make anything public to the wider community; the only thing other members can see is that your profiles are linked, allowing them to view your partner's profile if they choose.

If you and any of your Constellation partners would like to start a conversation together, you can create a group chat with multiple connections, making it easy to talk as a group while keeping your individual conversations separate.

Majestic membership and Constellations

Linking your profile just means that your profiles will become visibly linked. If one person has a Majestic membership, this won't be shared, meaning the features won't transfer over from one account to another.

If you'd both like access to features such as advanced filters, incognito mode, and other Majestic benefits, you'll each need your own membership. You can discover everything that's included in Majestic membership before deciding if it's right for you.

Why do people date openly as a couple or a Constellation?

There's no one way to explore relationships, and your profile should be able to reflect that. Whether you're using Feeld as a couple, are in an open relationship, part of a polycule, sharing life with a nesting partner, looking for a third, or building connections that don't fit neatly into a label, Constellations lets you represent yourself and your unique relational arrangement on Feeld.

For some people, that means exploring side by side. For others, it's about recognizing the people who are already an important part of someone’s world as you get to know them. For many, it’s honoring existing connections while remaining open to new ones. However you choose to date, your profile should feel like an honest reflection of who you are and the relationships that matter to you.

Dating should always happen on your terms. Constellations is a way to represent your current relationships, while leaving room for them to evolve. And if they do, your profile can evolve with them. 

What if my partner isn't on Feeld?

If your partner isn't on Feeld yet, they can always join later and link their profile if and when the time feels right. Some people don't want to be on a dating app, and that's completely fine too.

Even if your partner’s not on Feeld, you can still let people know about your relationship by mentioning it in your bio. A few honest lines about your relationship(s) and what you're looking for can go a long way. The more specific you are, the easier it is for other people to assess whether your desires are compatible with their own. 

We're all seeking different things, and the more we embrace transparency, the truer we can be to ourselves, our desires, and our partners.

How to unlink or remove a partner

Relationships evolve, and your Constellation can evolve with them. You can update your relationship description at any time to better reflect any changes in how you relate to one another. If you decide to close your relationship, your dynamic changes, or you simply decide that linking profiles isn't right for you anymore, you can remove a partner whenever you like.

To remove a partner, head to your profile settings and open your list of Constellation partners. Select the person you'd like to remove, then confirm your choice. Once you've done that, your profiles will no longer be linked. If you'd also like to disconnect from them on Feeld, you'll need to remove them from your Constellation first.

Just as linking profiles offers a way to represent your relationships, the possibility of removing a partner gives you the flexibility to keep your profile up-to-date as your connections evolve. Whether your circumstances have changed or you're simply exploring in a different way, you're always in control of how your relationships are represented.

However you choose to connect, being clear about your relationships helps create better experiences for everyone involved. It sets expectations, encourages more meaningful conversations, and makes it easier to connect with people who are looking for something similar.
